What to expect
Metal roofing dominates other roofing systems for a number of reasons.
Long Life Expectancy – A metal roof should last the life of the home or property. These systems are great for shedding water efficiently as well as shedding snow and ice when installed properly. Also, fire resistance is a positive attribute. Panels come in a variety of colors and coating which typically have a 30-40 year life expectancy.
Weight – Metal is much lighter therefore putting less stress on the structure of your home. Typically the weight will be 100 -150 pounds per square. Usually no alterations to the structure or framing is needed.
Installation – Installation is usually less complex. Rhino Roofing & Construction has an accomplished crew for metal roofing which streamlines the process.
Heat Reduction – Because metal reflects rays from the sun, the home gains less heat during the day. Also, because there is a gap between the roof and the decking the metal does not pass on the heat but instead absorbs it allowing for greater energy efficiency.
Low Pitched Roofs – This material works well on a minimum 3 pitched roof versus other materials that function poorly.
Water Shedding – Panels are designed for maximum water shedding ability. Each panel is interlocked and acts together to allow for a smooth flow of water. Furthermore, snow and ice can’t build up as easily.
